The diagnostic process was really good. It was quite long, but having it spread over several sessions actually helped because I needed time to process everything. The questions were very comprehensive and the diagnostics were done well. I felt comfortable during the process and it helped me a lot.
Getting this diagnosis meant a lot to me and really changed my life for the better. I can’t imagine not knowing this huge part of myself. Before I had access to the right medication and accommodations, I was failing my classes. Now I’m able to pass and function much better. It helped a lot with my self-confidence, sense of agency, and awareness. Finding spaces that understand me and can accommodate me has been really important. A lot of things became easier, like studying and being able to focus. I also feel more able to advocate for myself and ask for accommodations, which didn’t really feel possible before.
Most importantly, it helped me see myself differently for the first time. I realized there was never anything fundamentally wrong with me and that I’m not incapable. Allowing myself to understand that has been really important for processing things and developing more self-awareness.
