Meet Rebekah
I am happy you are here! My name is Rebekah and I am affiliated as a psychologist and mental health therapist with Psycholoog van Nu. I am thankful to help you on your journey towards healing, growth, and change! I am dedicated to supporting you with a safe space to explore your thoughts and feelings. Together, we can foster resilience, cultivate self-awareness, and inspire transformation.
Perhaps you struggle with stress, anxiety, low mood, trauma, grief, adjusting to life changes, or other things. I am ready to sit with you through these challenges and help you build practical skills to cope and work towards a calm mind. While we cannot always change circumstances, we can learn to regulate emotions, communicate healthily, and grow in personal wellness.
Healing and Growth
Sometimes, the first step to healing is recognizing you don’t have to face struggles alone. I provide individual counseling sessions where we can work one-on-one to unpack difficulties and find practical solutions. Using CBT, DBT, and somatic therapy, we build skills to face emotions, change thought patterns, break habits, and grow in resilience.
I also work with couples, offering marriage and relationship counseling. Building healthy relationships requires good communication and growth together. Whether you want to resolve conflicts or develop healthy relationship skills, I can help. With Gottman Relationship Therapy and Restoration Therapy, I focus on fostering thriving relationships and understanding each other’s needs.
My background
I have been living and working in the Netherlands for over 2 years, though I am originally from Oklahoma, USA. I hold a Bachelor’s in Clinical Psychology from Oklahoma State University and a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Colorado Christian University. My studies, internships, and workshops have prepared me to provide ethical, evidence-based care.
I have worked with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and bring empathy to each unique circumstance. Having moved abroad myself, I understand the challenges of transitioning to a new place and culture. I also have experience supporting military members and their families, which deepened my understanding of trauma, cultural differences, and stressful environments. My work with people facing a range of mental health challenges has equipped me with tools to continue helping others.

Meet Emma,
As a psychologist and creative therapist, I am affiliated with Psycholoog van Nu, where I work on location. It is possible to book an appointment with me on Wednesday mornings or on Fridays.
It’s a brave step to start working on yourself. Maybe you notice that a certain pattern keeps repeating itself, you are burdened by emotions from the past that remain unresolved, or you simply feel stuck in some way.
In those moments, it can be helpful to have someone by your side.
I would be glad to support you.
I offer this in a safe and equal relationship, attuned to what you need. Together we create insight into what you are struggling with. Sometimes the root lies in the past, then we explore the origins of early patterns and process (often long-suppressed) emotions. Other times, we focus more on practical tools to help you approach (challenging) situations differently in the here and now.
Forms of Therapy
I work with mindfulness and meditation, body-oriented therapy, inner parts work, polyvagal theory, and tools from various approaches (CBT, ACT, DBT).
Depending on your needs, we may take an insight-oriented, holistic, solution-focused, and/or coaching approach. My way of working is always compassionate, based on genuine human connection.
During our intake session, we will explore what you are struggling with and how I may be able to support you. I will always adapt the approach to what fits you best.

Hi, my name is Ineke
I’m glad you’re here. My name is Ineke, and I’d like to briefly introduce myself so you can get a sense of what to expect when you book an appointment with me.
You can come to me with a wide variety of questions, both about yourself and about your relationship. In our sessions, I attune myself to you: to what you find important, the challenges you face, and what you hope to achieve. A good connection and a safe atmosphere are essential. That’s why I create a calm and open space where you can truly be yourself. Not a standard protocol, but guidance that clients often describe me as engaged, to the point, knowledgeable, and approachable.
I work form a place of joy and from the deep belief that every person can grow, heal, and find new direction in life.
Break free from you patterns
To help you achieve results more quickly, I provide practical exercises and assignments during our sessions. These not only deepen the insights you gain but also help you experience tangible change. This makes it easier to take action and reach your goals.
Background
After completing my studies at Tilburg University, I first worked for 10 years in various clinics. In 2010, I decided to start my own practice as an independent psychologist. I wanted to provide professional, personal guidance based on human connection. In the beginning, I focused mainly on treating and supporting people struggling with eating disorders, depression, anxiety, burnout, and other stress-related issues.
Different forms of therapy
You can come to me for EMDR, ACT, EFT Couples Therapy, and Inner Child Therapy. I also use mindfulness and relaxation techniques to help you get out of your head and feel more calm and grounded in your body.
Alongside EFT couples therapy and individual therapy, I have been offering mindfulness training since 2014. And since 2023, I have also been supporting people dealing with Long Covid and MCAS.
Emotion regulation
I believe that a well-functioning, relaxed nervous system is essential for resolving both mental and physical complaints. During therapy, we work on emotion regulation and coping with stress, using insights from polyvagal theory, so that you can feel safe, grounded, and connected to yourself and those around you again.
I also believe it is important to take a broad perspective, which includes looking at biomedical aspects of mental health. For example, the influence of hormones on mental well-being.
